The weekly cash withdrawal limit from savings bank accounts from ATMs or banks will be increased to ₹50,000 from February 20 and there won’t be any withdrawal limit from March 13, the Reserve Bank of India said on Wednedsday.
The weekly withdrawal limit now is ₹24,000.
The RBI removed the cash withdrawal limit from current accounts, cash credit accounts and overdrafts on January 30.
From February 1, the withdrawal in a single day from a savings bank account from an ATM or a bank was raised to ₹24,000. But the cap on ₹24,000 a week remained.
